Roscoe’s – Starting your day with crispy, fried chicken

Roscoe’s: When it’s time to start your day with crispy, fried chicken.

Bite-Sized Recap

Roscoe’s is not overrated. Sometimes starting your day with fried chicken and waffles is exactly what you need. I now refuse to eat my eggs any other way besides scrambled with onions. Full Menu with pricing pictured at the bottom!

VIBES-

They really set the tone for this to feel like an around the way spot. We walk in and a women with gold teeth welcomed us and invited us to sit wherever we liked. Our waiter took our order, answered questions, and checked on us as often as he needed to. Zero complaints.

There were a couple birthdays happening so it was cute hearing the staff shout out the birthday folks!

CHICKEN + WAFFLES-

$22.99 “Country Boy”

10/10. Perfectly crispy, juicy, and seasoned. Tastes like they have your down south auntie in the kitchen shaking up the chicken in a grocery store bag before dipping in the grease. IYKYK. 3 wings + 2 waffles and 1 egg on the side was the perfect amount for a starving gal with a large appetite. It was also the perfect amount for my man, who ordered the same exact thing.

$1.25 Comeback Sauce

10/10. Try it! The wings definitely don’t need anything at all. But, it you’re like me and never turn down an opportunity for sauce on the side, it’s worth a try. It tasted like honey mustard but not quite. It didn’t taste familiar so it was fun trying something with a fun kick. I alternated every other bite with and without sauce. I’m extra, I know!

EGGS-

$8.50 Scrambled eggs, cheese and onions.

10/10. When I got back home the next day I tried to recreate these at home. Such simple ingredients but somehow I missed the mark. Anyway, these eggs were moist, cheesy and I never knew how badly I needed onions in my scrambled eggs until this experience.

DRINKS-

$5.25 Apple Juice

10/10. Before this visit, last time I was at Roscoe’s was 5+ years ago. I remember their specialty drinks tasting like kool aid which I just wasn’t in the mood for this day. So I just got apple juice. I was excited when I saw they serve Martinelli’s apple juice!
